The Registration Department of the Union Territory of Jammu  and Kashmir is fully prepared to roll out electronic stamping system along with computerized Registration system through National Generic Document Registration System.

The department conducted one day training in collaboration with Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL) at Excise Complex Jammu. The training was to  acquaint the registrars and Sub Registrars of Jammu Division in the handling of the new system of stamp duty



collection.

J&K Branch head SHCIL, Harmandeep Singh imparted training . Inspector General Registrations, Dr. Pawan Kotwal enjoined upon all the registration officers to learn so that they can handle the e-stamping system with professional acumen. 

The e-stamping system is quite easy and cost effective and it would be smooth and transparent with maximum authenticity. The people can get the stamp duties deposited through Authorized Collection Centers like scheduled and Cooperative Banks and licensed stamp vendors.
