In Election bound Karnataka, Janata Dal (S) manifesto was released by its state President H D Kumaraswamy in Bengaluru today. The manifesto promises to waive off 53,000 crore rupees crop loans of farmers. It also says 75 to 90 percent subsidy will be given to farmers for the purchase of tractors and other agricultural equipment. It has assured to enhance honorarium paid to ASHA workers from 3500 rupees to 5000 rupees.
The
manifesto says senior citizens will be paid pension of 6000 rupees. Poor women will get 2000 rupees every month for household expenses.
The party has criticised the GST and e-marketing system and said intervention programmes will be launched to those affected by these two systems. It has also promised to take initiatives for safeguarding the interest of consumers.
