On the last day of the three-day special Assembly Session of newly constituted Assembly of Jharkhand, a supplementary budget of Rs. 4185 crores was passed by voice vote in the House.
Earlier on this day, Chief Minister Hemant Soren gave vote of thanks on Governor Draupadi Murmu’s address to the newly elected legislators.
Rural Development department received the highest share of the supplementary budget
followed by Women and Child Development department and Home and Disaster Management department.
During the session, all newly elected legislators said that they are committed towards effective implementation of the Chotanagpur Tenancy Act (CNT Act) and Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act (SPT Act) across the state. Later Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahto adjourned the session sine die.
