Jharkhand Govt to conduct Caste-based census in upcoming financial year

Jharkhand government has announced to conduct Caste based census in the upcoming financial year. Answering the question raised by Congress MLA Pradeep Yadav in the State Assembly Budget session, cabinet minister Deepak Birua said that the government is committed to



conducting a caste-based survey in the next financial year. 

The State Government has already approved the proposal of conducting Caste based census during a Cabinet meeting in February 2024.
