The Jharkhand High Court yesterday rejected the Criminal Writ petition of Chief Minister Hemant Soren against the Enforcement Directorate’s summon in the alleged Army land scam case. Earlier, Supreme Court had rejected CM Soren’s petition in the month of September.

Giving the final verdict in this case, the double bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Justice Anand Sen of Jharkhand



High Court said that the central probe agency has all rights to issue summon in any case. It was also mentioned that the petition does not stand as it was filed after the ED had issued summon to the CM. 

Chief Minister Hemant Soren had challenged the summon issued by the ED and had requested the High court to cancel all the ED summons issued against him.
