Leh: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh will inaugurate a two-day Capacity Building Workshop for Ladakh officials in Leh today. The objective of the programme is to familiarise Ladakh officials with Central government’s laws on procurement, financial management and good governance.
The two-day workshop by National Centre for Good Governance, is to create familiarity with the Union laws on procurement and financial management, Central Secretariat Manual of Office Procedures (CSMOP), eOffice and digital procurement practices through GeM and in digital governance, in the newly created UT Ladakh.
The Workshop also aims to benefit and upgrade the administrative skills of the UT officials. This will enhance the
exposure and awareness to improve the delivery mechanisms and realization of the goals of Good Governance. The two-day workshop for nearly 200 Ladakh officials , would also discuss Governance Challenges in Ladakh, J&K Reorganization Act, GFR and Government e-Market (GeM), Tendering and PFMS and various other topics related to adminstration. Similarly, the workshop also discuss success stories in UT Administration, for information exchange and knowledge dissemination.
Ladakh Lieutenant Governor R.K. Mathur, LAHDC, Leh CEC Tashi Gyalson, LAHDC, Kargil CEC Feroz Ahmed Khan, DAR&PG Secretary Sanjay Singh, Additional Secretary V. Srinivas and UT officials also participate in the workshop.
