J&K govt promotes 6 IGPs to rank of ADGPs

The Jammu and Kashmir government has promoted six Inspector General of Police, IGPs to the rank of Additional Director General of Police, ADGPs in the state.

An official spokesperson said, the Cabinet, which met met in Jammu yesterday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, approved the promotion of six IPS



officers of 1993 and 1994 batches of J-K Cadre to the grade of ADGP Higher Administrative Grade with immediate effect.

The IPS officers include Deepak Kumar, IPS on Proforma basis and S J M Gillani, Abdul Ghani Mir, Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria, Alok Puri and Muneer Ahmad Khan, the spokesperson said.
