Jammu and Kashmir police along with security forces have arrested a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist in Bandipora.
Police said that the arrest was made yesterday following a specific input regarding the movement of terrorists towards Hajin town for subversive activities. It said, a joint Naka was established in Hakbara area of the town by the police and security forces where the terrorist Rafiq Ahmad was apprehended while trying to hurl a grenade on the Naka
party.
The police recovered incriminating material along with two Live Grenades and 19 live rounds of AK-47 from his possession. He had joined the LeT recently and was tasked to carry out attacks in and around Hajin locality by way of grenade hurling on police and security forces.
An FIR has been registered in this connection under relevant sections of law in Hajin police station and investigation has been initiated.
