The US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in New Delhi yesterday evening on a three-day visit to India. Mr Kerry and US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker will co-chair the second US-India Strategic and Commercial Dialogue in New Delhi today.
Secretaries Kerry and Pritzker will be joined by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman, along with members of the US delegation and their
Indian counterparts.
The US-India Strategic and Commercial Dialogue is a mechanism for advancing the shared priorities of generating sustainable economic growth, creating jobs, improving the business and investment climate, enhancing livelihoods and sustaining the rules-based global order.
Mr Kerry will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow at his residence. During his stay in New Delhi, he will visit IIT Delhi and Gandhi Smriti.
