BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda has condemned the remarks of former Congress President Sonia Gandhi made against President Droupadi Murmu. In a social media post, Mr. Nadda said that the deliberate usage of such words shows the elitist, anti-poor, and anti-tribal nature of the Congress Party.
Mr. Nadda demanded that Congress unconditionally apologise to the President and the tribal communities of the country. He added that the focus today should have been on celebrating India’s remarkable progress, as outlined in the President’s
address. He said, Perhaps it is time for the opposition to focus on meaningful discussions in the temple of democracy instead of repeatedly insulting the highest office in the country.
Mr. Nadda said that President Droupadi Murmu’s address to the joint session of Parliament was both insightful and forward-looking. He said it provides a comprehensive overview of the government’s remarkable development journey over the past decade under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
