Judicial custody of journalist Vinod Verma extended till December 11

Journalist Vinod Verma’s judicial remand has been extended till December 11 after he was produced in a court in Raipur on completion of his remand period. 

The court of Judicial First Class Magistrate extended the judicial remand period by another 14 days. Earlier, a lower court and a sessions court had rejected



Verma’s bail application. 

Later, the Journalist moved the bail application in the High Court where the hearing is scheduled for December 12. 

Verma was arrested by the Raipur police on October 27 in connection with an alleged blackmailing case.
