The State government sounded high alert at the project sites on River Krishna and River Godavari as the reservoirs were receiving heavy inflows due to incessant rain in the upper riparian states.
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Sunday instructed officials to constantly monitor the flow of water and alert the government. He said water levels at many projects had reached
dangerous levels. Jurala project is almost full with a total storage capacity of 9.6 TMC.
The capacity at Yellampally project was 11.65 TMC out of 20 TMC total capacity. At Kadem project, the gross storage has increased to 6.82 TMC. The gross capacity of the project is 7.6 TMC.
The inflow in to Sriramsagar project on River Godavari was also steady.
