Uttar Pradesh government has set a target of hoisting nearly 4.50 crore tricolours from 13 to 15 August across the state under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced this during inauguration of the ‘Kakori Train Action’ centenary festival in Lucknow yesterday. This festival will be celebrated throughout the year.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this festival aims to inspire current and future generations with the heroic story of Kakori train action and the valour of our freedom fighters. The celebration will involve school children, teenagers, and youth in various programs.
He further
said that As a part of the Kakori Train Action Centenary Festival, the Yogi government in collaboration with the Indian Railways will operate ‘Kakori Shaurya Gatha Express’. This special train will travel across the state for the next two months, educating people about the event.
In this centenary year, along with releasing a special postage stamp, UP government is organizing motorcycle rallies, 6-day commemoration fair, events honouring the families of the martyrs, exhibitions on the national freedom struggle and planting of 100 plants each in memory of the martyrs, development of Amrit Sarovars and Amrit Vatikas throughout the state.
