Mumbai police have arrested two absconding pub owners in connection with the fire at Kamala Mills compound that claimed 14 lives. The pub was run by three partners- Kripesh Sanghavi, Jigar Sanghavi and Abhijeet Mankar. Police said the Sanghvi brothers were on the run since the incident took place.
They were arrested from Andheri area in the city yesterday evening. Mankar is still absconding. The trio
have been booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and other offences under the Indian Penal Code.
The police had on Tuesday arrested Vishal Kariya, a hotelier, for allegedly giving shelter to the Sanghvi brothers and Mankar. On December 29th, a fire swept through the restaurants and pub in Kamala Mills compound in central Mumbai, resulting in the death of 14 people.
