Bengaluru: On Friday, Karnataka Education Minister B.C. Nagesh stated that students will not be permitted inside the examination centers if they wear a hijab.
The state's II PUC (class 12) examinations are scheduled to begin on March
9.
Speaking to reporters he maintained that it has been clarified that all students should wear uniforms to exams. The hijab is not a part of it. He added that students who wear hijab and wish to write exams will not be permitted entry into the examination room.
