Karnataka govt hikes subsidy give SC/ST communities under Land Ownership Scheme from Rs. 15 lakh to 20 lakh

Bengaluru: Karnataka government has decided to increase the subsidy given to SC/ST communities from 15 lakh rupees to 20 lakh rupees under the Land Ownership Scheme.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced this in Bengaluru yesterday during the Babu Jagjivan Ram award function. He also announced that Babu Jagjivan Ram Self Employment Scheme will



be introduced within a week for the SC/ST Communities. He also announced free power upto 75 units for these communities in the rural areas.

Another scheme to impart skills training to these communities was also announced yesterday. They will also be trained to appear for the competitive exams.
