Bengaluru chapter of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena on Wednesday took to put a protest rally against the upcoming Bollywood movie ' 'Padmavati.'
The Karni Sena held a 'Swabhimaan Padyaatra', condemning the attempt to distort history in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie.
The protest rally began at Town Hall around 10 am to culminate at Freedom Park and turn into a sit-in dharna, where leaders and elders from the community will address the gathering.
Various organisations such as Rajput Samaj
Karnataka, Akhil Bharatiya Ekta Manch, Maharana Pratap Navayuvak Mandal, Rajput Parishad, Rajput Sabha, Kshatriya Mahasabha and others have participated in the rally to register their protest.
The protestors believe that the movie is an attempt to tarnish the rich heritage and culture of the erstwhile Rajputana.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA & head of Film Studio Setting & Allied Majdoor Union, Ram Kadam has threatened that if If Bhansali doesn't agree, our union won't let him shoot any film.
