Union Minister of State for Education Sukanta Majumdar said that Kashi Tamil Sangmam showcases the age-old connection between Kashi and Tamil Nadu, the two timeless centres of our civilisation and culture. While addressing the closing ceremony of Kashi Tamil Sangam 3.0 in Varanasi yesterday, the Minister said that Kashi Tamil Sangamam is strengthening the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat. Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi also graced the event.

Kashi Tamil Sangmam 3.0 was inaugurated by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on February 15th this



month. Under this program, about 1000 people from Tamil Nadu came to Kashi and understood the culture and its relation with Tamil Nadu. These participants included students, teachers, workers, entrepreneurs, and women’s self-help groups. Guests from Tamil Nadu also got the opportunity to take a holy dip in Sangam at Prayagraj Mahakumbh and also had a darshan of Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya. 

The purpose of this event is to strengthen the literary, spiritual and artistic relations between Tamil Nadu and Kashi.
