As monsoon has caused heavy rainfall in most of the Indian states, many are facing the wrath of high-intensity rainfall. Inundation caused a car being washed away in Panchkula in Haryana due to heavy rainfall.
 
Rudraprayag District Magistrate Mayur Dixit yesterday said that Kedarnath Yatra has been stopped till further orders at Sonprayag due to heavy rainfall in Rudraprayag District in Uttarakhand. After the onset of monsoon, several parts of Uttarakhand witnessed heavy rainfall in last one day. Haridwar, Dehradun and Uttarkashi received heavy rainfall in last 24



hours.

In Himachal Pradesh, incessant rains in the last 24 hours, have caused extensive damage in several parts of Mandi district. At the same time, roads have been shut in many areas. Several vehicles were washed away due to a flash flood in a rivulet at Janjehli in Mandi district. Many houses located downstream are facing risk and incidents of landslides have been reported at many places across the district. The water level in the Beas River flowing through Mandi has increased due to overnight rains in the hilly areas.
