Kerala Cabinet approves revision of fares of buses, taxis

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala cabinet has approved revision of fares of buses, taxis, auto-rickshaws, and state carriages. The minimum rate of ordinary buses including mofussil and city circular services has been raised to 10 from eight rupees. The rate of city fast service will go up to 12 from 10  and that of



a limited-stop fast passenger to 15 from 14 rupees.

The revised rates will come into force from the first of next month.

The State Cabinet also decided to appoint a commission to recommend the travel fares for students.
