In Kerala, coach of a stationary express train at the Kannur railway station caught fire in the wee hours yesterday. The incident occurred after all the passengers had deboarded, causing no fatalities. Fire was brought under control and the other coaches were separated immediately. Probe is being initiated.
This incident occurs within
two months of the infamous Kozhikode train arson attack case that had shocked the country, in which three people, including a baby, died. The accused in the incident had allegedly set his co-passengers on fire onboard the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express train. NIA is currently probing on the attack.
