Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Government has decided to allow 1500 people in major religious festivals and events in the state in view of declining COVID-19 cases. The decision comes in the wake of upcoming religious congregations including Attukal Pongala, Aluva Shivarathri and  Maramon Convention in the State.

Only those above 18 years of age, having an RTPCR negative certificate taken



within 72 hours, will be allowed entry in festival gatherings. Those below 18 years can attend festivals with family members. Angawadis in the state will also reopen along with schools and kindergartens on Monday.

Meanwhile, the State yesterday recorded 43 thousand 82 recoveries while fresh cases dipped to around 16 thousand. Test Positivity Rate also dropped to 19.99 percent.
