Kerala Government has mandated wearing of face masks, amid reports of a spike in Covid-19 cases in different parts of the country and abroad.
An official order issued in this connection says, failure to wear face masks in public places, work places and during transport will a attract fine of five hundred
rupees under the Disaster Management Act.
The State Health Department has also scaled up vaccination drive to prevent any surge of the pandemic. As per available information, Kerala has over one thousand 800 active cases now.
