Kerala Government will make food security licence mandatory for all eateries across the State. The Government move comes as part of a campaign to ensure good food to all, in the wake of growing incidents of food poisoning in several parts.
Given this information, State Health Minister Veena George said, all hotels, restaurants and
eateries must obtain a food safety registration or licence within three months and display it prominently along with the toll-free number of Food Safety Department. The minister said inspections would be scaled up and a system would be put in place where the public can upload complaints along with photographs.
