Kerala local body election will be held in three phases on Dec 8, 10 and 14

Kerala local body election will be held in three phases on  8th , 10th , and 14th of next month.  The State Election Commission informed that the notification of election will be issued on 12th November. 

The nominations  can be given till Nov 19th.The counting of votes will be held on December 16th. With the announcement of poll dates, the model code of conduct has come into effect in the State. As



being the  first election to be held amid  Covid pandemic in Kerala, strict Covid protocol has been put in place for the conduct of the election. 

Postal voting facility will be provided for Covid positive patients and those in quarantine. Over 2.71 crore voters are there in the election that  will be held in 1,119 local bodies across the State.
