Election heat is on, as nomination filing ends in Kerala today. Over 1000 nominations had been filed so far. With less than 20 days left for the assembly polls, major political parties in the state have intensified their campaigning process. Ruling LDF had begun their second phase of campaigning, while UDF and NDA are active with their road shows and door-to-door visits.
Candidates are engaged in meeting prominent personalities from various
sectors of the community in their constituencies. Parties are trying to resolve the disputes regarding seat allocation, after the submission of nominations. BJP State president K Surendran will submit his nomination in Mancheswaram today. National leaders of all the three fronts will visit the State in coming days. BJP MP Manoj Tiwary will inaugurate the election convention meeting of A. P. Abdullakutty in Malappuram today, where he is the party's Lok Sabha candidate.
