Transport Minister of Kerala AK Saseendran has resigned from his post on March 26 after a television channel released an audio clip of him allegedly talking sleazy on phone. Saseendran has demanded a probe into the matter. However, the minister has denied the allegations against him.
While talking to media Saseendran said, “my decision to resign should not be seen as my acceptance of guilt. All charges framed on me are baseless.”
He further added, “It is up to
the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and government to investigate the matter and I appeal to the CM to probe the allegations against me.”
According to the reports, the audio was released by Mangalam TV. In the aired audio clip, the minister was allegedly involved in a sleazy conversation with a woman who had approached him for a help.
The opposition demanded the Saseendran’s resignation after the audio clip was released. AK Saseendran is a five-time legislator from the Nationalist Congress Party.
Earlier, CM Pinarayi Vijayan told the media that he had taken the report seriously and promised action.
