The State government has declared that Krishna Pushkaralu would commence on August 12 at sunrise. Telangana State Endowments Department issued a memo on Tuesday stating that a majority of the pandits were of the view that the first day of Krishna Pushkaralu must be August 12.
Meanwhile, Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy and Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy directed the officials to complete all pending works for Krishna Pushkaralu. The Krishna Pushkaralu would be conducted on the lines of Godavari
Pushkaralu which was a grand success, and the government has geared up for conducting the 12-day event in Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts with enthusiasm.
The minister conducted an aerial survey along with DGP Anurag Sharma near Nagarjunasagar area wherein pushkar works are going on at a brisk pace. The ministers asked that better arrangements must be made for the event as a huge number of people are expected to take a holy dip and have darshan at the adjoining temples.
