IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao urged the COO Softbank Nikesh Arora to invest in Telangana and boost its economy. During his two-hour one-to-one meeting with Nikesh Arora in the US, Rama Rao explained about the new industrial policy, its innovativeness and especially of giving all permissions in 15 days to industries and companies to invest and set up shops here.
When Rama Rao informed that a new industrial policy was being implemented with transparency besides offering self certification option, Arora provided some points to improve the State policy to surpass others by giving industrial permissions. Rama Rao
also apprised the Softbank chief of various prestigious projects in the State and discussed the T Hub encouraging entrepreneurs and startups to come up with innovative ideas.
Softbank has pumped in money as investment in multiple sectors such as telecommunications, media and finance, broadband and internet services. Expressing satisfaction over the meeting, Rama Rao said several business and industry honchos evinced interest in investing in Telangana, besides adopting a few points of Telangana industrial policy. IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan was also present, an official release issued here on Tuesday said.
