In Uttar Pradesh, Kumbh 2019, the 49 days long biggest religious congregation on earth at Prayagraj formally concluded yesterday. Chief Minister of State Yogi Adityanath attended the closing ceremony this afternoon and honoured saints and seers of various akhadas. 

He announced one-month extra salary for all government officers and workers associated with Kumbh and presented Kumbh Seva Medals for police personal during the closing ceremony. 

Branded as Divya Kumbh, Bhawya Kumbh the mela concluded with a grand cultural performance in the evening by various artists who showcased the hues of cultural diversity of India. 

On this occasion Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave awards to the officers, police personnel and sanitation workers who were part of the arrangements related to Kumbh. 

He also announced that certificated of excellent work will be given to officers and employees of other government departments associated with Kumbh.

Later talking to media persons at Mela city CM Yogi Adityanath said that many first times are also



associated with this Kumbh, like inauguration by PM Modi with Ganga Aarti, visit of VIPs including President of India, ambassadors of 70 countries, citizen from 193 countries and darshan of Saraswati koop and Akshay wat. 

He further added that while 12 crores people had taken holy dip in kumbh 2013 inspite of the fact that it was full Kumbh called Mahakumbh, this time more than 24 crore devotees have taken bath this time in Kumbh 2019 which is only less than population of 4 countries on earth. 

3 Guinness world records were made during the kumbh and more than 20 thousand security personals were deployed for the arrangements. 

Although Kumbh 2019 completed with the last holy dip of Mahashivratri yesterday but lakhs of devotees are still coming to Prayagraj city for bathing in Sangam the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. 

The Kumbh Mela, which began on January 15 at the Sangam with the Shahi Snan of Makar Sankranti, completed on Monday with the last auspicious bathing of Mahashivratri.
