Kurnool: The Kurnool Government General Hospital has secured the top distinction by conducting 27,998 Aarogyasri cases during the period from August 2023 to May 2024. GGH superintendent Venkata Ranga Reddy told the media on Wednesday that medical equipment worth Rs.2 crore was recently purchased and deployed in the hospital's units where Aarogyasri services are provided. 

District collector Srijana inaugurated the newly constructed district-level Early Intervention Centre in the hospital premises, set up with a grant of Rs.1.06



lakh under the National Health Mission.

This centre caters to the needs of children aged 0-18 years, particularly those who are underage, underweight, suffering from growth problems, or mental or physical illnesses. The district collector suggested that doctors from all government dispensaries and hospitals across the district should identify such children and refer them to this centre. DMHO, Dr Praveen Kumar, RBSK district programme officer Dr Hemalatha and others were present.
