The Ministry of Labour and Employment and Rapido yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding in New Delhi to enhance logistics employment opportunities through the National Career Service portal. The partnership aims to create over 50 lakh livelihood opportunities in 1-2 years.
Speaking at the occsion, Labour and Employment Minister Dr. Mandaviya said that the National Career Service portal is a dynamic platform bringing job seekers and
employers together across India. He said, with over 1.75 crore active job seekers and over 40 lakh registered employers, the portal pis laying a crucial role in workforce mobilisation. The platform will provide hyperlocal job matching and support domestic and international placements. Notably, 5 lakh job opportunities are targeted for women, promoting female employment in the logistics sector through this initiative.
