Union Territory Ladakh has approved an annual action plan for six central sponsored schemes for Agriculture for the year 2022-23. Advisor Umang Narula chaired the UT Level Sanctioning Committee in Leh yesterday. 

The Committee discussed central schemes, Agriculture Technology Management Agency, ATMA, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, RKVY, National Food Security Mission, NFSM, Rainfed



Area Development, RAD and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sinchayee Yojana, PMKSY.

The Action Plan includes expansion of cultivable land and a sixty percent subsidy to farmers for micro-irrigation systems. Advisor Narula directed the implementation of a high-efficiency irrigation system to reduce drought vulnerabilities and improve yields.
