Ladakh Celebrates International Mountain Day

In Ladakh, International Mountain Day was celebrated at Tangole Base Village, Mount Nun, in Suru Valley. The event was organised by the Tourism Department. The event included exhibitions of mountaineering equipment, speeches, and a painting competition by students from



various schools in the Suru region. 

Local stakeholders highlighted the need for better welfare measures for high-altitude porters and infrastructure development to boost tourism.
