Patna: RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday attacked his former ally and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who, he alleged, had switched his allegiance for the sake of power.

Speaking to reporters, the RJD chief said, '''Nitish is a power hungry man and knows no morals.''

He is a political turncoat. I've lost count of the number of times he has changed his stance and his loyalty for power, the veteran RJD leader alleged.

Nitish has probably forgotten what he was, where he came from. He had lost assembly elections twice in past. He also faced defeat in the Lok Sabha polls, he added.
Calling Nitish as someone who can't be trusted, Lalu said, ''I did not want Nitish to be projected as chief ministerial candidate as I did not trust him in the least. Then Mulayam ji convinced me otherwise."

The RJD chief further alleged that Nitish had used my sons as pawn to get back into the BJP fold.

The Former Bihar chief minister also

slammed Nitish for calling Narendra Modi as invincible leader.

Lalu Prasad had earlier unleashed an offensive against Nitish Kumar, stating that he was charged in a murder case.

A defiant Lalu also accused the JD(U) leader of colluding with the BJP.

"Nitish Kumar knew that he is accused of section 302, one of India's CM is main accused in murder and arms case," Lalu had said this while addressing a press conference in Patna.

Citing PM Modi's tweet appreciating Nitish Kumar's stand on corruption, Lalu accused the former of being hand in gloves with the BJP and the RSS.

Clarifying on the crisis that started after CBI charged him and his son in a corruption case, Lalu said that he had told Nitish Kumar that the charges were false and politically motivated.

In his defence, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had said that he had stepped down in the interest of the state after failing to resolve a crisis plaguing the ruling Grand Alliance.
