Haryana Education Minister, Ram Bilas Sharma said that laptops would be provided to the top 500 students securing 95 per cent or above marks in Matric examinations conducted by Haryana Board of School Education. A provision of two crore rupees has been made for it in the current budget.
Mr Sharma said the State Government is promoting quality education in Haryana. It is a dream of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the future generations get such education which would
make them employable and they also infuse in themselves moral values.
He said that in order to further improve the quality of education in Haryana, an ambitious initiative known as ‘Learning Enhancement Programme (LEP) has been implemented in 3,222 primary schools. Under this programme, 18,000 teachers have been imparted training. He said that monthly tests programme has been initiated for Class I to Class XII to improve the education level of students.
