Lightning strikes kill six in Bihar’s Nawada District

In Bihar, six people lost their lives due to lightning in Nawada district yesterday. The Met Department has issued a yellow alert for rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in several parts of Southern Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over the loss of



lives. 

Mr. Kumar has ordered to provide ex-gratia of four lakh rupees to the next of kin of each of the victims. The Disaster Management Department has appealed people to not to venture out during rains and lightning for agriculture-related activities.
