Lockdown extended till 3rd June in Jharkhand State

In Jharkhand, the existing lockdown ending today morning has been further extended for a period of one week till 3rd of June. The State Government has issued directives to extend the ongoing Health Safety Drive for another week with existing restrictions. This is for the fourth consecutive time the State Government has extended the lockdown to break the chain of spread of Corona virus infection.

 

Inter-state and intra-state buses have been stopped during the period and mandatory home quarantine of seven days for people visiting from outside the state has been made compulsory during the lockdown



period. 

E-passes for any movement within the state for private vehicles is necessary, while only 33 per cent of attendance has been permitted in State Government offices. The decisions were taken in a meeting of the State Disaster Management and Health Department chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

 

Meanwhile, imposing the restrictions through lockdown has helped increase the COVID-19 recovery rate in the state to 94.28 per cent and reduce the growth rate of the viral infection to just 0.40 per cent. Only 14 thousand 196 active cases are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Jharkhand.
