The weather officials have said a fresh Low Pressure Area is very likely to form over north Andaman Sea and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal by today.
A bulletin by the India Meteorological Department in Chennai says the weather system is likely to move northwestwards and concentrate into a Depression over the central Bay in the subsequent 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over the South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and
its neighbourhood is observed to be persisting up to three kilometers above the mean sea level.
It has contributed to rain at many places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the last 24-hours. Kuppunatham in Cuddalore district recorded a maximum of 14 centimeter rain.
In the next 24-hours, isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur in 19 districts including in the Delta region and northern Tamil Nadu.
