Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has urged the Members of Parliament to begin the Fit India Movement in their respective Constituencies. He launched the Fit India drive at the Parliament House, yesterday.
Mr Birla said it is the responsibility of Parliamentarians to inspire the people of their constituencies to remain fit and healthy. He said, there should also be a competition among the Lok Sabha Constituencies on fitness.

Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has the vision to make India a developed country and it will become possible when every person of the country will be physically and mentally fit.
Union Ministers including Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Anurag Thakur and Arjun Ram Meghwal as well as officials and staff of Parliament also participated in the programme.
