Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to expand his cabinet today

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will expand his cabinet today. Governor Anandi Ben Patel will administer the oath of office and secrecy to new ministers. Three to four new faces could be inducted into the cabinet.

The cabinet expansion is aimed at balancing caste equation and satiate community voters ahead of assembly elections this year end.



speculations were also on rife that a few ministers are likely to be dropped on the basis of performance and ill health. 

After the expansion, there is a possibility of a comprehensive reshuffle in the departments of the ministers. At present Madhya Pradesh cabinet has 29 ministers, including 20 cabinet ministers and nine ministers of state.
