Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will launch the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana in Bhopal today.

The scheme has been prepared on the lines of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. On the occasion, the Chief Minister will also interact with the farmers through video conferencing.

In the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers are paid 6 thousand rupees in 3 equal installments in a year. Under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan yojna, the Samman Nidhi of 4 thousand rupees will be given by the state government in 2 equal installments to the beneficiary farmers of PM Kisan samman Nidhi



Yojana.

In this way, every farmer will now get a total of 10 thousand rupees per year as samman nidhi in Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the state government transferred Rs 40 crore 52 lakhs to the account of more than 16 thousand meritorious students for purchasing laptops at the rate of Rs 25 thousand per student yesterday. Talented Students Promotion Scheme was started in 2009. Students who scored more than 85 percent marks in the Class XII examination are provided funds to buy laptops. This year, around 40 thousand students are being given more than Rs 101 crore in this scheme.
