Madhya Pradesh records 76% voting in assembly elections

In Madhya Pradesh, 76.22 per cent voting was recorded in the 230 Assembly seats of the State. In the 2018 Assembly elections, there was 75.63 per cent voting in Madhya Pradesh. A maximum of 85.68 per cent in polling was reported in Seoni and a minimum of 60.10 per cent was reported in the Alirajpur district. 

The most important achievement is that 85.12 per cent of voting was reported in the Naxal-affected Balaghat district. Assembly-wise wise maximum polling reported in Sailana seat of Ratlam district is 90 per cent and the minimum in Jobat constituency of Alirajpur district is 54.04 per cent.

Voters have created a new record of voting in



the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. Compared to the 2018 elections, the vote percentage has increased by more than half a per cent. Out of around 5 crore 61 voters in the state, more than 4 crore 27 lakh 46 thousand voters used their democratic right. Sailana, a tribal-dominated area of Ratlam district, has set an example for all the big cities including Bhopal by recording 90 per cent of voting. 

The Election Commission is now busy with the security of EVMs and the preparations for the counting of votes to be held on December 3. Till then, political pundits will continue to analyze the record voting.
