Chennai: The Madras High Court allowed shifting of Tamil Nadu State Minister Senthil Balaji who was arrested by Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case, to a private hospital for undergoing a bye-pass surgery.

A Division bench of Justices J. Nisha Banu, D. Bharatha Chakravarthy passed the interim order today on a Habeas corpus petition filed by the Minister’s wife.

However, the Judges made it clear that the panel of doctors to be constituted by the enforcement

The bench made it clear that he would remain to be in judicial custody even in the private hospital.

Meanwhile, Chennai Principal District and Session Judge S. Alli are to pass orders tomorrow on a petition filed by the Enforcement Directorate for subjecting Minister Senthil Balaji to custodial interrogation.
