Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde yesterday handed over a cheque of ten lakh rupees each to the kin of two youngsters who were killed in the Pune Porsche accident.

The family members of 24-year-old IT professionals from Madhya Pradesh, Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta had yesterday met Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at his residence.Considering that the victims were killed in an accident in Maharashtra, the state government had announced a special compensation



and cheques were handed over yesterday.

Speaking to the parents, Mr. Shinde said even though the Bombay High Court has ordered the juvenile’s release, the state will try its best to ensure that the guilty are brought to book at the earliest. He said that the state will run the case in a fast track court. He hoped that the financial aid from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund will support the families in their time of need.
