Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated the second phase of Mumbai’s Coastal Road from Marine Drive to Haji Ali on Monday. Speaking to reporters, Mr. Shinde said, the northbound arm of Dharamveer Swaraj Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Mumbai Coastal Road will be opened for traffic from Tuesday.
He added that commuters
will be able to cover the 6.25-kilometer distance in nine to ten minutes compared to the 40-50 minutes it takes now. Like the south-bound arm between Worli and Marine Drive, which opened for vehicular movement in March this year, the northern arm will be operational between 7 am and 11 pm on weekdays.
