Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday inspected the Coastal Road in Mumbai and said that the first phase would commence shortly. After inspecting the Coastal Road in Mumbai, Chief Minister Shinde said, the coastal road is 99 per cent complete. Keeping safety purposes in mind, firefighting and lighting are done. He added that from the security point of view, there are 10 emergency cross-passageways - 2 for vehicles and the rest eight are for
pedestrians.
Mr. Shinde said an advanced system has been used for the establishment of this tunnel. It is signal-free and toll-free as well.
Chief Minister Shinde also informed that a 320-acre world-class park will be constructed in the vicinity of Dharamveer Sambhaji Maharaj Mumbai Coastal Road and different trees will be planted in an area of 200 acres.
