The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has issued a second summons to stand-up comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina, directing him to appear tomorrow to record his statement in connection with India’s Got Latent row. He was initially summoned yesterday but failed to appear before the Cyber Cell to provide his statement.
Currently abroad, Raina had initially requested permission to provide his statement via video conferencing from the United
States, citing prior commitments in the United States and Canada. However, the Cyber Cell denied his request, insisting that his statement must be recorded in person.
Other individuals named in the complaint, including Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Makhija, have already provided their statements. Multiple cases have been registered in Maharashtra and Assam against the accused.
