Maharashtra government will organise a Digi Dhan Mela in Mumbai today under the aegis of central government’s Lucky Grahak Yojana for Consumers and Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana for traders. 
The day-long event, to be held at Mumbai University, aims to promote digital payment methods and inculcate a digital payment habit among all citizens. Digi Dhan Mela in Mumbai will have 50 stalls manned by banks, e-wallet, telecom and transport companies. Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra operators, Fair Price Shop Owners, vendors selling electronic goods, foodstuffs, textiles,



handicrafts and fashion accessories, Self Help Groups from National Payments Corporation of India and Aadhar authorities will also participate in the event. 
These stall will serve as training blocks and information kiosks for the government’s cashless endeavour. Assistance for opening bank accounts, linking mobile number to bank account, conducting safe and secure digital payments will be provided at most stalls. State government will also organize competition for writing innovative slogans, radio jingles and spot to publicise the scheme.
