Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the state government has agreed to accept almost all of Anna Hazare’s demands and requested him to call off his indefinite fast.
This social activist has been on hunger strike since January 30 at his native Ralegan Siddhi village in Ahmednagar district, for appointment of anti-corruption watchdogs at the Centre and in
Maharashtra. His other demand includes resolution of farmers' issues.
Chief Minister said that the government has agreed to almost all of his demands, especially the one related to Lokayukta and formation of a joint committee.
He had informed that he had sent a letter to Hazare requesting him to call off his fast.
